                     JOINT STATEMENT

SOLIDARITY OF INDONESIA PEOPLE FOR PALESTINA

END ISRAELI AND US OCCUPATION OVER PALESTINE

STAND FOR PALESTINE SOVEREIGNITY

FREEDOM FOR PALESTINE

We, the organizations and individuals of the Indonesian people, defend for the struggle and rights of the Palestinian people to reclaim their territory, end the war and uphold their sovereignity as an independent nation. We stand in solidarity of the Palestine People and demand of the end of the Zionist Israel occupation war that supported by the United States of America over Palestine.

Zionist Israel’s attacks on Palestine on 7 October 2023 was driven by the decade-long  ethnic cleansing, genocide, displacement, and daily aggression intensively to take over the Palestinian territories - that nowadays are occupied by Israel. It is a call for liberation for the Palestinian people and all under Israeli attack especially in Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq.

With the support of the US Imperialist, Israel have occupied Palestine since 1967. Israel forces entered  the Sinai Peninsula to take over the Gaza Strip, West Bank, Golan Heights and East Jerusalem, then claimed Jerusalem as its capital. Throughout this war, countless people have died, lost their families, homes and even their sense of security which has resulted in millions of Palestinians being displaced and forced to become refugees in various parts of the world.

Israel is waging a war no longer aimed at conquering Palestinian territories, but at accelerating genocide against the Palestinian people and race. The Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has publicly ordered a total siege of the Gaza Strip. "We are conducting a total siege of Gaza. No electricity, no food, no water, no gas. Everything is closed. Gaza 'will never go back to the way it was'.”

Based on to data released by the United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) up to the 7th day of the attack, the death toll has reached 3,200 people and 12,000 people were injured. These numbers will continue to rise as the war continues. This is the most heinous and unforgivable attack by the Israeli army against the Palestinian people in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian war.

The Israeli government's claim that the Palestinian struggle is "terrorism" is a deadly lie. This claim also continues to receive support from the United States to legitimize the support and attacks carried out by the Israeli army against the Palestinian people.

We condemn the United States for its decades of financial, military and political support for Israel's occupation of Palestine. Israel has been privileged in the use, development and trade of invasive cutting-edge surveillance technologies. This includes the Pegasus software developed by Israel-based NSO Group which has been used to monitor and intimidate not only Palestinian militant fighters, but also journalists, anti-Zionist movements and activists around the world.

Indonesians, in particular, have a great debt to Palestine because Palestine was the first country to recognize Indonesia's de facto independence, even one year before the reading of the proclamation text. The people of Indonesia who always promote peace, democracy and sovereignty should stand in the struggle of the Palestinian people to gain their sovereign rights as an independent nation.

We also urge President Joko Widodo to not only ask Israel to stop its war on Palestine, but also to condemn the involvement of the United States in helping Israel fight the Palestinians. Indonesia must insist that the United States stop interfering and withdraw its support for Israel's aggression against the Palestinian people.

We also urge President Joko Widodo to not only ask Israel to stop its war on Palestine, but also to condemn the involvement of the United States in helping Israel fight the Palestinians. Indonesia must urge the United States to stop interfering and withdraw support for Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.

We believe in united and stronger resistance of the Palestinians and the solidarity of all oppressed people in the world, including from the Indonesian people, can stop the new wave of imperialist and Zionist Israeli aggression in the land of Palestine.
